Imagine you'd won a contest. The prize is that every morning, you would have a bank account in your name containing $86400. However, there are 2 rules. 1: evrything you fail to spend will be taken away from you that night. No cheating, no switching of the unspent money to another account. You can only spend it. But every morning, the bank will open a new account for you, always $86400 for the day. 2: The bank can break off the game without warning. Any time, it can be over and there won't be a new account. What would you do with a prize like that? Would you spend it on yourself, your family, your friends? Spend it on evryone, on evrything? Helping others with the prize, satisfying your unsatisfied wants? Now. All of us have this magical account. It's time. We all have a big account filled with fleeting seconds. Evry morning when we wake up, our account for the day is credited with 86400 seconds, and when we go to bed, there's no carryover into the next day. What hasn't been lived in the day has been lost. Yesterday has vanished. Also, not forgetting rule no. 2, our account can close any time. Life can end at any moment. So what would you do with your daily ration of 86400 seconds which are far more important than dollars? Great way of interpretation i got from a book. Makes me guilty about not treasuring my life and the people around me well enough... I gotta start now or it'll be too late...
Oh my.. This post of mine is still not completed after 3 hours.. I was watching tv in between, snacking, talking and now i am gonna take a quick bath... I'll be right back...
